is the prayer for SRI VISHNU in HIS

form for all needs. So the worship of both HARI and

is according to the advaita philosophy. Rudra Japam recitation
organised
by the Sabha is for the welfare and prosperity of entire
humanity.

Bhagavathars,
Vidwan Sri Balan (Mrudangist) and eminent persons shall

in this grand spiritual and religious event.
Legend
of Sri Meenakshi Kalyanam (in short) Sri Meenakshi kalyanam
brings
together four of six main streams in popular Hinduism i.e. the
Saiva,
Skata, Vaishnava and Skanda faiths - and this grand culmination
of
faiths is still celebrated in great splendour today in an enactment of
Sri
Meenakshi Kalyanam each year, when images of Skanda and Vishnu
are
brought to the Madurai Meenakshi temple from
Thirupparamkunram
and Alagar Kovil, nearby.

SRI
RAMA BAJANA SABHA (SRBS) was established in the year 1962 at
Annayappa Block, Seshadripuram, Bangalore, with the aim of developing passion
& devotion among citizens for Namasankeerthanam. Commencing with Sri Rama
Navami celebrations, Namasankeerthanam was conducted at the residences of
individual Bakthas for the Peace and Prosperity.
In the year 1966 Amarars
Sri T.V.Narayana sastry and Sri C.R. Kalyanakrishnan intiated Sri Meenakshi Kalyanam
with Shiva Ashtapathi, Vesha Bhajan (Divayanamam) and Kailasa Bhavani, which
was a unique format of heavenly wedding of Consorts Sri Meenakshi and Lord Sri Sundareswarar which is even
today liked and appreciated by one and
all in Bangalore.
As all of you may be
aware the growth of SRBS has been
steadily progressing all these years due to the untiring & involved
participation and guidance of great souls like Amarars Sri T.V.Narayana sastry,
Sri C.R.Kalyanakrishnan, Sri .MahadevaIyer, Guttahalli Sri.R.Venkataraman, Sri,B.S.Suryanarayana,
Gurudasan Sri.T.S.Krishnamurthy, Guruji Sri R.Venkatarman,
Sri T.E.Nagarajan (chellappa mama ) also known by his composer name ‘Meenakshi
sutha’, Dr. C.R.Seshadri, Sri Krishan Iyer, Sri N.S.Vasudeven, Sri K.Viswanatha
Iyer, IOL Sri Krishna Iyer, Sri C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer, Sri Seshadri, to name a few.
SRBS celeberated the
Silver Jubilee of Sree Meenakshi Kalyana Uthsavam during January 1989 at Sri Anjaneyaswamya
Kalyana Mantap, Palace Guttahalli, Bangalore and continued the celebrations in Sri
Vinayaka Seva Samithi Hall, Anandanagar, Bangalore – 24, since 1996. With the
grace of God and blessings of periyaval and well wishers, Sri Rama Bhajana Sabha is now looking forward
to celebrate its Golden Jubilee 50thAnniversary
of Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Kalyana Mahotsavam with ‘MAHA RUDRAM’ in a Grand Manner from Monday the 26th Jan. 2015 to Sunday
the 1st Feb. 2015. As a part of Golden
Jubilee Celebrations every month Namasankeerthanam,
Bharathanatyam, Discourse etc. have been planned.
To commemorate this
unique occasion, the Organising Committee has also decided to bring out a souvenir.
The success of the past 49 years was
largely dependent on the extent of voluntary support that the Sabha has
received from all of you.
As in the past, your
munificent contribution in Cash or Kind, Advertisement in the proposed Souvenir, Banner
Exhibit and Personal participation will go a long way in successfully
conducting the ‘GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION’ in a Grand Manner.
