RUDRA
- means the destroyer of evils and causes for prosperity.
NAMAKAM
- a prayer with 300 Namaskaram and CHAMAKAM -
the
prayer for 300 important worldly wishes form the essence of
"SRI
RUDRAM" a prayer for SRI RUDRA - Lord Shiva.
"PURUSHASOOKTHAM"
is the prayer for SRI VISHNU in HIS
magnificent
form for all needs. So the worship of both HARI and
HARAN
is according to the advaita philosophy. Rudra Japam recitation
organised
by the Sabha is for the welfare and prosperity of entire
humanity.

Thirukkalyanam
in Sanathana Bhajana Sampradayam under the
leadership
of Bhagavatha Sironmani Brahma Sri Venkateshwara
Bhagavathar
of Sri Panduranga Bhajana Mandali of Chennai and
Chaitanya
Bhajana Mandali of Chittur (kerala). Many learned
Bhagavathars,
Vidwan Sri Balan (Mrudangist) and eminent persons shall
participate
in this grand spiritual and religious event.
Legend
of Sri Meenakshi Kalyanam (in short) Sri Meenakshi kalyanam
brings
together four of six main streams in popular Hinduism i.e. the
Saiva,
Skata, Vaishnava and Skanda faiths - and this grand culmination
of
faiths is still celebrated in great splendour today in an enactment of
Sri
Meenakshi Kalyanam each year, when images of Skanda and Vishnu
are
brought to the Madurai Meenakshi temple from
Thirupparamkunram
and Alagar Kovil, nearby.
